Salon Coordinator
Job Brief:
We are in search of a Salon Coordinator to act as the first point of contact for customers who visit our salon or contact us to learn about our beauty services.
Salon Coordinator responsibilities include greeting customers upon their arrival, answering clients’ questions about services via phone, email or in person and processing transactions. To be successful in this role, you should be highly organized and able to manage clients with grace, even during peak demand. The position starts off as part time with opportunities for more hours and promotions.
Ultimately, you will help boost our reputation by building friendly, trusting relationships with our guests.
Responsibilities:

Warmly greet clients, walk them to the waiting area, and inform assigned Stylist of their arrival

Book and confirm appointments via phone(voicemail) and email
-
Process transactions (cash,credit cards,check) and issue receipts
-
Offer beverages and chat with clients who are in the waiting area
-
Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services and schedule appointments based on availability
-
Inform guests about policies, services, and procedures
-
Cross-sell services and products when appropriate (e.g. through informative brochures and gift cards)
-
Update guest records with contact and billing details, appointments and services offered
-
Manage our call center
-
Maintain a tidy beverage and waiting area
-
Inform Inventory Director of business cards, brochures and stationery as needed
-
Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and restock soap, lotions, and hand towels
-
Post daily on Salon Modello’s Instagram and Facebook
-
Help Salon Apprentices and Stylists keep towels and capes washed, dried, and put away
-
Help Salon Apprentices and Stylist keep floor swept and free of hair and spills
-
Print and file daily reports
Requirements:
-
Receptionist or Customer Service experience is highly preferred
-
Hands-on experience with office equipment, like printers and POS systems
-
Familiarity with processing transactions
-
Excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone and email) with a customer service attitude
-
Solid organization and record-keeping skills
-
An ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances
-
High School diploma
-
Millennium Software experience is a plus
-
Knowledge of social media operations and functions
-
Working one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)

Apprentice
Job brief:
We are in search of an Apprentice to continue into advanced in-salon education and assist our experienced Stylists and Directors. As an Apprentice you will attend a theory class and take models every Tuesday from 9:00am - 3:00pm. For the rest of the working week; you will assist and learn from assigned Stylists. The position is full time and fast paced to transition into becoming a Stylist at Salon Modello.
Responsibilities:

Check in at the beginning of your shift with your assigned Stylist to discuss your responsibilities and expectations for the day

Advertise yourself to find and book models for class
-
Keep a detailed education book and notes for provided in-salon education
-
Learn about the product lines that we carry and become certified in treatments
-
Be equipped with professional tools and ready to use your own during models and assisting
-
Check in with your assigned Stylist’s to provide guests with beverages,magazines, and comfort
-
Help Salon Coordinators maintain and stock the beverage station
-
Help maintain cleanliness of restrooms and restock soap, lotions, and hand towels
-
Help Salon Coordinators maintain cleanliness and stock linens in the restrooms
-
Apply a wide range of hair coloring techniques, such as highlights, vivids and balayage during class, and excel and expand your techniques and knowledge
-
Form bonds with loyal guests and long term Stylists
-
Ensure tidiness of beauty stations, shampoo bowls, and sterilize tools after use
-
Cross-sell hair care products or services when appropriate
-
Maintain equipment and notify the Salon Director if anything isn't working as expected

Inform Inventory Director of any items/products needed to perform services

Comply with health and safety standards

Sweep up after each haircut and wipe up color and/or products drops/spills

Requirements:

Current Georgia Cosmetology license or scheduled graduation/testing date(s)

Under 3 years experience behind the chair

Working knowledge of all aspects of cosmetology and best practices

Up-to-date with fashion and beauty trends

Great physical stamina for standing long hours

Excellent communication and people skills
-
High school diploma; successful attendance of a cosmetology school is a must

Job Brief:
We are in search of a licensed cosmetologist to help guests transform their physical appearance to their liking. We do not departmentalize, but we do allow Stylists to specialize in either cut or color. You will be responsible for listening to the guest’s wishes and desires and professionally providing them with the most suitable services.
Stylist responsibilities include cutting and coloring hair using basic and advanced techniques, as well as consulting guests about styles and options. Must be able to utilize and educate guests on retail products that are suitable for their hair care and style. Be up to date and competent with a broad knowledge of trends and fashion.
